    "Starlight" by Janette King

Electro-soul artist Janette King has just released her new music video for her latest song “Starlight.” A gorgeous track both aesthetically and musically, it’s soft and sweet with an element of sensuality to it, which perfectly matches King's lyrics and the vocals. The video has a stunning cast and they are all dressed in white, which adds an extra element of royalty. The visuals for “Starlight” are equally as beautiful as the song and I can’t wait to see what Janette King do

    "Favorite Emotion" by Fleurt

Fleurt released an 80s-pop inspired single “Favorite Emotion” and we can't get enough of it. She juxtaposes happy, upbeat pop music with lyrics that are about longing and love. In the pre-chorus, she states, “Tell me it’s okay/I know we’re fucked in the long term”, which perfectly encapsulates what being young and in love feels like. The chorus then transitions to claiming, “Nostalgia is my favorite emotion”, which with a poppy track behind it, makes a simple feeling into som

    "The Wolves" by Mandolin Orange

Mandolin Orange’s new single “The Wolves” is a beautiful song about dealing with grief and letting go. They state in the chorus “There she stands, so tall and mighty/With her keen and watchful eye/And the heart of a mother/Holding out her guiding light” about crossing over after death and having it be a comfortable experience. A beautiful ode to letting go, Mandolin Orange has fantastic story telling skills and can tell a gorgeous, poetic story through their music. Check out

"Fly Away (Free Bird)" by Yaniza

From the first cheery ukulele strum, this song is like a drink of water. Yaniza’s twinkling, bright vocals against a lush natural backdrop make her video for "Fly Away (Free Bird)" a refreshing musical feat. At once invigorating and zen, Yaniza’s confidence as a singer and songwriter beams in this song, whose style shares the charm and whimsy of artists like Lenka and Lykke Li. Perhaps the most refreshing thing about "Fly Away (Free Bird)" is the purity of it. An uncomplicate

    Interview: Nicole Neslon

Check out our interview with Nicole Nelson of Dwight & Nicole! 1) Hey Nicole! Thanks for interviewing with Indie Witches. How did Dwight & Nicole come to be? It’s my pleasure to talk with you :) Dwight & I first met in Boston, Massachusetts. We were both just out of our teens, fronting our own bands and playing a ton of shows locally. We sort of grew up in that scene, and we really loved each other’s voices. Eventually we started calling each other up onstage to sing together

    Francie: "Your Way"

The new single, "Your Way," by Francie is a peaceful, beautiful listen. The simple guitar strums help illuminate the soft and melancholic vocals, highlighting the dichotomy between love and loss. Francie then introduces an edge to the song with a transition from a simple acoustic guitar to a more complex arrangement at the bridge. The shift perfectly fits the tonal change in lyrics as she says, “I never told you the way I feel now/Something has frozen in my veins…/You seem ve
