Francesca Blanchard took the stage last Saturday night with confidence and charisma. With powerful vocals and conscious lyrics, her set covered everything from the madness of social media to finding beauty and meaning in the small things in life. Opening for Daisy the Great at Baby’s All Right, the fully packed house was completely spellbound by Blanchard’s performance. The full piece band that even included a trumpet player gave a nostalgic jazz club feel alongside her new songs performed for the night. My favorite moment was when Blanchard stripped things down to just an acoustic guitar set to provocatively vulnerable lyrics of heartbreak, jealousy and forgiveness.
